What We Inspect

We will spend two to three hours thoroughly assessing the home’s visible, accessible systems and components. You are welcome and encouraged to accompany us during the inspection so you can voice your concerns and become more familiar with your home’s distinguishing characteristics.

Your Inspection includes:

Structural Components- foundation, framing, floor & wall structure, ceiling, roof

Exterior- siding, flashing, trim, doors, windows, decks, porches, railings, eaves, soffits, fascias, grading, surface drainage, landscape, walkways, patios, driveways

Roofing- roofing material, gutters, downspouts, flashing, skylights, chimneys, roof penetrations

Plumbing- distribution systems, including fixtures, faucets, drain, waste, vent systems, hot water heater and sump pump

Electrical- service drop, ground fault circuit interrupters, interior components of service panels

Heating & Central Air Conditioning- installed heating and air conditioning equipment, vent systems, flues and chimneys

Attic & Crawlspace/Basement- checked for evidence of water penetration, insulation & ventilation

Interior- walls, ceilings & floors, stairways, railings, doors, windows, countertops and cabinets
